Success at the Women in Credit Awards
The Women in Credit Awards finals took place in London yesterday evening and saw six of our hugely talented colleagues among those shortlisted for an award. Judged by eighteen senior women business leaders from across the financial services landscape, these awards have quite rightly earned their highly respected status.
Against a significant level of high calibre applicants, I am enormously proud to report that Debbie McKay, Head of Motor Major Accounts and Claire Fussey, SME & Commercial Sales Manager were recognised as winners in the Colleague of the Year and Team Leader of the Year categories respectively. Their success is a credit to their efforts and the teams in which they lead over the last year. Debbie, Claire and their fellow candidates are essential role models for all women in our business and our entire team in underlining our commitment to enhancing diversity and inclusion across MotoNovo.
The Women in Credit brand provides an important platform to highlight gender issues across financial services and in encouraging more debate on these issues. At MotoNovo, we are committed to being part of this debate and the more concrete need for positive action to enhance diversity and inclusion across our business.
Championing success and providing platforms for people from all backgrounds to succeed and be recognised is central to the recruitment, development and retention of the talent we need to sustain our growth and track record of innovation. It will also be crucial to the way we continue to evolve our operating model to ensure it is fit for purpose in today’s fast-changing working environment.
I am committed to helping to provide the platform for everyone to succeed and so to close as well as recognising last night’s winner, I want to recognise our other shortlisted candidates who did themselves and our business proud; they are;
- Team Player of the Year – Victoria Loosmore
- Outstanding Returner – Laura Griffin
- Innovator of the Year – Courtney Putland
- Transformation of the Year - Amy Dicomidis
To conclude, these women are not alone; there are many examples across our business of people from all backgrounds making a positive impact and I aim to keep calling them out, catching people doing the right thing.
